Router: routs messages through several connected LANs or to a wide area network

VAN:use something else infrastructure by leasing for your use

Backbone network: is the most important part which connect all parts

Internet: international network , and it is owned by no one in the whole world.
Intranet: inside one national and no one can access unless you belong to that company or organisation
Exrtenet: is a connection of intranet
